Happy Easter!! // ¡¡Feliz pascua!!

Monday 6 April 2015

Yay!! We're a little bit missing ...sorry! We promise to come back with new posts very veeeery soon, so please! Continue following us :) :)

As today is a special day, we want to share with you the result of our Easter eggs dyed naturally, yes! We like to use natural ingredients and as we had learned to dye eggs in Latvia, we decided to dye them this year in Spain.
We're going to try to show you step by step the natural way to dye eggs, with onion skin. Let's start!

Yay!!

¡Vamos a empezar!!

We boiled water with the onion skin during aprox. 30 min. After that, we wait a little bit until the water was less hot. Then, we boiled the eggs, previously painted with crayons and decorated with washi tape and thread :)

Also, we wanted to try to decorate the eggs with plants and flowers, so we decided to boil two more eggs :D on the same water!

We're really happy and proud with the result!!! We remember so much our time in Latvia and Easter was a really special day last year! You can see some photos of our Easter celebration in Latvia on the blog of my EVS project :)

We have found an interesting and outstanding ilustration map!! The work is of Minna Sundberg.
The ilustration map show the relationship between Indo-European and Uralic languages.
We don't know nothing about Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Icelandic, Finnish,... but we are here to learn, right?
In The case for language learning in The guardian, sponsored by Brithis Academy, it is the family tree in pictures with a little explanation and Minna in here website Stay Still. Stay Silent comic explains the reason of her work :). Great job!

Hey! How is your week going?
Did you know that on 21st of February was celebrated the International Mother Language Day?
We should already know the importance to keep a language alive, and this day reminds the world of the importance of the lesser-known languages of the world. The other day I found on internet this interesting website, Ethnologue.com. It's a comprehensive reference work cataloging all of the world’s known living languages. Thanks to this website you can search by country which languages are spoken on this country, information about population, immigrant languages, map, etc. Really, a full information for all languages lovers :)) Do you recommend another similar website? Tell us! :D

¡Eh!

Switzerland Mood board. Suisse. Schweiz. Suiza

Monday 16 February 2015

What we know about Switzerland? Have you been in this country? Firstly, I've to say that the Switzerland tourism website is very interactive and I was surprised to see on the website, as you can see, that if you select the text you want to read, the option to read aloud appears!
Well, some interesting facts about Switzerland?
Swiss citizens are champions in recycling, 30% of Switzerland’s surface is made up of forests and woodlands, four national languages are spoken in addition to numerous dialects, you never have to worry about tipping in Switzerland (as tips are included in the price!), and more facts that you can discover by yourself :) Visit Switzerland virtually with this mood board we've created.
Enjoy the views!

¿Qué conocemos sobre Suiza? ¿Has visitado este país?

Make a wish... / Pide un deseo...

Tuesday 3 February 2015

I totally agree with this quote from Brian Tracy. We should give advices, gifts, hugs, smiles... without expecting anything in return. We just have to share our knowledge and experiences with others. And, we should remember that moment, place, person...how, where, who helped us or was there when we needed. We must be grateful!

¡Debemos ser agradecidos/as!
